Hi, I am Leon. I’m 50 years and I live together with my partner. I like running and tinkering with mechanical timepieces. I have worked for Forever Direct for more than two years now. Got a good feeling during my job interviews. As an HR advisor, I work with three colleagues at the HRM department.

FD is a young company and has grown very fast in recent years. This means that you have to clearly determine the rules of the game about working with each other. A beautiful and continuous challenge for the HR department! The beauty is that there are no emotional ranks or grades at FD and contacts with all the colleagues are quite informal. The first words that come to mind when I think about the culture of FD are teamwork, movement and flexibility. And, fortunately, also: involved!

I do job interviews, make job descriptions, develop procedures for HR (for health and safety, or holidays, for example), I have frequent contacts with colleagues about HR subjects. Especially because of the latter, work is different every day!

Making clear rules for working at FD.

The challenge for Forever Direct

The biggest challenge for FD is becoming the closest partner of the customer. Logistically speaking we are good. Now we have to work on how we can even better unburden the customers. Their wishes will be our guidelines. HR plays a part in that as well. If the rules for working at FD are clear, work will be more pleasant and other people will notice that, including the customer.
