I am Jeroen van der Zweth. I’m 41 years old. I live with my partner and have 2 kids. I love soccer: to play and to watch. I have worked for Forever Direct for 7 years. I wanted to work closer to home: commuting to Amsterdam every day meant I hardly saw my daughter … and at Forever Direct some very exciting things were about to happen, with a brand new DC. So the choice was quickly made.
My main task is the purchase and stock management of our products. We must ensure that the right stock is available in the right quantity, at the right time. Forever Direct is customer-oriented, informal and goal-oriented. That is a fine combination; getting results in an informal, but purposeful way!

My day
It differs per day and/or per period of the month. Every day, at 9.45, I have the Daily Ops meeting, where the daily state of affairs in the operation is discussed. At the beginning of the month we set the monthly order for the factories and towards the end of the month we check if we have sufficient stock to be able to supply our customers.
My challenge
FD is a relatively young company with an enormous growth in a short space of time. It really is an outstanding achievement how all of us have managed to do that. The challenge in my work is to get hold of the right information to buy the stocks we need to be able to realise the sales in the next period.
The challenge for Forever Direct
FD has grown enormously in every respect. I think that the greatest challenge will be setting realistic medium to long term goals for the whole company and the different departments.
