Jeroen Hartenberg
Desktop Publisher
I am Jeroen, 32 years old, married and father to a beautiful son. My hobbies are drawing, watching movies and gaming on the PC. I like computers, period. Just like I enjoy photography. I have been working for Forever Direct for 6 years as a Desktop Publisher, and design labels for our products. I am also into word processing. The labels must comply with current EU regulations, which means I often switch to colleagues of the Regulatory department.
Forever Direct is very much a service-oriented organisation. Professional, but also informal, happy and easy-going. We continually invest in improving internal and external relations, which is noticeable. And that there is room for good laughs during work is very important to me.
My favourite Forever Living product: Forever Bright Toothpaste (the best toothpaste there is!)
My day, my challenges
My day
My day starts with reading and answering my emails. After that I start working on the current labelling project. This varies between small label updates to revising complete production lines and the annual introduction of a range of completely new products. Apart from that, I am in constant touch with my direct colleagues from Regulatory Affairs.
My challenge
To try and make as few labels as possible for all the different countries because this is so important for the operation (fewer SKUs in our warehouse).
The challenge for Forever Direct
The fast growth of the business and the storage space which is required as a result is a challenge for FD, I think, and there is always room for improvement as far as internal communication between the various departments is concerned, but this probably applies to most large companies, I think.
